It's amazing how tricky it is to keep a relationship vibrant and strong... and without too much drama. Chris and I are both dedicated to working to improve our relationship and still, it can get pretty bumpy. It's good to remember to breath...

In this issue:

1) Talking Knees-To-Knees
2) New Website Is Up But Incomplete
3) Clarity Via Your Heart

1) Talking Knees-To-Knees

Chris and I started doing a process together that has really made a difference for us. We meditate together for 20 minutes, then he sets two dining chairs face to face, so our knees are almost touching. Then we take turns saying whatever comes up. We almost always do this on Sunday mornings but occasionally more often. If we have important topics, we save them for this time. There's a kind of safety that this invites and both of us are more honest than we've ever been. I tend to avoid saying anything that could hurt his feelings, cause an argument or reveal any disappointments that I'm feeling. But both of us are really noticing that no matter what is said, it's done with love, making this effort shows how much each of us cares. We were close before but now, it's transforming our relationship, making it better than ever.

Another thing we've done, when either of is upset, is to speak very slowly, leaving space between each word, especially in other settings than our knees-to-knees conversations. The more upset we are, the more slowly we speak. What we've noticed is that it is impossible for anger to emerge when we're speaking slowly. It keeps us calm. And part of this and the above process is to breath. Nice slow, deep breaths really keep everything on a calm front.

I invite you to try this with your husband and see if it brings you closer, helps you resolve issues and evaporates resentments. I know when I begin to feel resentful, it kind of takes on a life of it's own and I think about it more and more, growing the resentment into something larger than it would be if I'd spoken up. Now, we're both speaking up and enjoying the bountiful benefits. Try it and let me know how it goes.

2) New Website Is Up But Incomplete

I've been working on the CommittedCouplesSupportCenter.com website but it's been slow going. I just have too many balls in the air. But I'll get it stocked with articles and other goodies and let you know as soon as it's ready for your enjoyment. You can take a peek here

3) Coaching You To The Relationship Of Your Life

The women's community, member-based website I launch on the 19th has become a living, loving, breathing thing that is filling my heart with such tenderness, I'm in awe. I am absolutely loving coaching with the members. Every Tuesday morning I stay in my office and take calls from 9:00 until noon. Getting to know these women this way is more fulfilling than I could have imagined. I've always loved coaching but knowing that these women are part of this growing community is so satisfying; it melts my heart. All I can say is if you are not a part of this blossoming group of beautiful women, you're missing out. We all need coaching and mentoring (I have a mentor) because it's impossible for us to see all that is necessary to improve our lives.

As a member, not only will you receive personal coaching several times each month (3 email, weekly phone, weekly chat (as soon as we find the right software) and now my call-in radio show, but you have instant access to all of my current and future books, courses and audio programs. (If you ever want to have your husband or boyfriend join in on a phone session, that would be wonderful.) Plus, as our group grows, you will be able to enjoy support from the other members, even creating support groups who share interests. If you want to call me and discuss what being a member can mean for you, my number is 805-705-0561 and I'd love to talk with you. It would be wonderful to know you are sharing in all the benefits that these women are enjoying. And very selfishly {!firstname_fix}, I will get to know you, which I would absolutely adore. Please visit the site and see what you think. WomanToWomanHeartToHeart.com

4) A Fun Little Gift For You and Your Friends

Years ago I wrote a little fairy tale. I recently redid it and would like to give you a fresh new copy. Even if you've read it before, it's nice to be reminded about Where Princes Come From. And please feel free to pass it along to your girlfriends.
